Courtney Comar, Ph.D., D(ABMM), is an assistant professor in pathology and genomic medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and the Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She received her Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania, studying emerging coronaviruses and innate immunity. Comar completed her CPEP fellowship in clinical and public health microbiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology.
