Elizabeth Bjork, Ph.D.

Elizabeth Ligon Bjork is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she has chaired UCLA’s Academic Senate and received UCLA’s Distinguished Teaching Award. One focus of her research is on how principles of learning discovered in the laboratory can be applied to enhance real-world instructional practices. She is a Fellow of both the Society of Experimental Psychologists and the Association for Psychological Science. With Robert A. Bjork, she is a joint recipient of both the James McKeen Cattell Award for Lifetime Contributions to Applied Psychological Research and the Mentoring Award from the Association for Psychological Science.
