Jesús Peña is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Riverside where he studies the evolutionary developmental biology of fungi. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in cell and molecular biology from the University of Denver. Having worked at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in the museum programs department, Jesús developed his passion for engaging the public in science and increasing scientific literacy. He is also a fellow with University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, where he produces Spanish language content related to microbiology and food security.
