Lauren Gabel is currently the Senior Associate of Advocacy at the American Society for Microbiology, where she helps scientists engage with lawmakers to better inform science policy and represent the microbial sciences before elected officials. Gabel believes that everyone can and should be involved in advocacy. She has built her career on encouraging others to pay attention and stand up for what matters to them.
