Mimi Precit, Ph.D., completed her Ph.D. at the University of Washington, where she studied host pathogen interactions and antimicrobial resistance in cystic fibrosis patients. She completed an Antibiotic Resistance Laboratory Network Fellowship with Washington State Public Health Laboratories in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and association of public health laboratories developing diagnostic tools and studying multi-drug resistant fungal and bacterial pathogens.
Precit completed her Clinical Microbiology (CPEP) Fellowship with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, affiliate of the University of Southern California. She is board certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology, adjunct professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University, the Director of Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics at Labcorp Portland and the clinical microbiology consultant for the Providence Hospital System in Oregon.
