Nat Moorman, Ph.D.
UNC School of Medicine
Nat Moorman, Ph.D., studies human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) to define new targets for the development of novel antiviral drugs in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology in the School of Medicine at UNC–Chapel Hill. Moorman’s lab uses a combination of new technologies and traditional molecular virology techniques to investigate host: pathogen interactions between HCMV and the infected cell.
Moorman obtained his Ph.D. in molecular microbiology & microbial pathogenesis from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University until joining the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
