Renée M. Tsolis, Ph.D., is a professor of medical microbiology at the University of California, Davis. She is Chair of the UC Davis Microbiology Graduate Program.
Tsolis received her Diplom in Microbiology from Eberhard Karls-Universität Tübingen in Germany and her Ph.D. in medical microbiology from Oregon Health & Science University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology and serves on the editorial boards of Infection and Immunity and PLOS Pathogens. Her research interests encompass the interactions of intracellular bacterial pathogens, particularly Brucella and Salmonella spp. with the innate immune system.
