Sara Iverson, M.S., is the Director of Biomanufacturing, Fermentation and Downstream Processing at Tepha, Inc. She holds a B.S. in zoology from North Carolina State University and an M.S. in biology from the University of Massachusetts. She has over 30 years of experience working in industrial microbiology. Iverson has a breadth of industrial experiences including microbial strain improvement, scale-up, fermentation, downstream processing and technical transfer with a broad range of microbes for pharmaceuticals, biofuels, medical devices and the bio-based chemicals industries.
