The American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM) certification demonstrates a commitment to professional development and provides recognition for specialized knowledge and skill in the field of medical microbiology.

ABMM Diplomates are doctoral-level microbiologists who are certified to direct medical and public health microbiology laboratories. Diplomate status is earned through successful examination and rigorous educational and experiential requirements.
