ASMCUE 2020 Cancellation and Statement on COVID-19

Updated: May 22, 2020

After much thoughtful discussion, ASM has made the difficult decision to cancel the ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE), scheduled to take place July 9-12, 2020, in Bellevue, Washington.

The ongoing spread of COVID-19 is a serious concern for us all, and its implications have substantially affected the logistics of holding the meeting. For the health and safety of our meeting participants, staff and service partners, we believe this is the best decision based on the uncertainty of the situation.

We have notified speakers, poster presenters, exhibitors and attendees of the cancellation individually and shared specific details they will need. Within 30 business days of receiving notification, you will receive a full refund of registration and exhibitor fees. You do not need to take action.

At this time, we are excited to be working with the Program Committee to plan ASMCUE Virtual, scheduled for July 8-9, 2020. Check back often for updates on the virtual conference!

In the meantime, please refer to the COVID-19 resource page on asm.org and follow ASM’s social media channels (FacebookTwitter and Instagram) for the most up-to-date information about the virus, the disease it causes and any impact on ASM gatherings.
