Exhibit Hall Receptions

Meet up with your peers in the Exhibit & Poster Hall during the Exhibit Hall receptions on Friday, June 15, 4-5 p.m. and Saturday, June 16, 4-5 p.m. Each attendee will receive 2 drink tickets at registration to redeem during the Exhibit Hall receptions. 

Exhibit Hall P.A.C.E. Exam

ASM is accredited to offer P.A.C.E.^® Continuing Education (CE) credits for visiting the Exhibit Hall. ASM Microbe attendees have the unique opportunity to receive P.A.C.E.^® credits by interacting with exhibitors through booth demonstrations and educational booth presentations in the Exhibit Hall. Plus, earn P.A.C.E.^® credits by attending eligible scientific sessions and workshops. You can find the Exhibit Hall P.A.C.E. exam in the mobile app. 

Claim Your Credit

If you will be claiming Continuing Medical Education (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™) for ASM Microbe, an administrative fee of $75.00 must be added to your registration by Monday, June 19 at 12 p.m. prior to the conclusion of the meeting. This fee is applicable only to CME credits and no other forms of continuing education credits offered by ASM (e.g., P.A.C.E.®).

Attendees of ASM Microbe 2023 will be able to claim the following types of credit:

• Continuing Medical Education—AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
• ACPE Pharmacy credits to be claimed within 60 days of the presentation.
• P.A.C.E.® (Effective 2016, all ASM P.A.C.E.® accredited meeting activities must be claimed within 30 days of the presentation).
  • ASM Microbe 2022 P.A.C.E® credit will be offered at the session level. 
• California Clinical Laboratory Personnel. 
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
• Certificate of Participation.

Access CE Details

The American Society for Microbiology’s utmost priority is the health and safety of our meeting participants. Therefore, we are actively evaluating conditions to develop meeting policies that ensure a safe environment for all participants traveling to Houston. In addition, because conditions and safety guidelines are constantly evolving, ASM closely monitors current state, federal and local COVID-19 guidelines for in-person gatherings and travel restrictions.

To schedule a small meeting with colleagues during the conference, complete the ASM Microbe Onsite Meeting Room Request Form. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-reserve basis. Forms should be submitted 8 hours in advance. To schedule a meeting via the conference app, visit the Create a Meeting tab and complete the form (available after May 30).

The GRB is approximately 10 miles from William P. Hobby (HOU) Airport and approximately 20 miles from George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport. Get more information about the Houston Airport System.

The City of Houston has authorized a flat taxi fare of $6 for all trips in the downtown area. This $6 fare will apply anywhere within the Central Business District, bounded by Interstate 45, Interstate 10 and U.S. 59. 

 
No surcharges will apply to the flat $6 taxi fare, which can accommodate multiple riders under the $6 total rate.

Fee: $50.00 per person / per event.
