When will the webinars take place?

The webinar series will take place in Oct. 2021 on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 5 with Dr. Colleen Kraft – 12-1 p.m. ET presentation and 1-1:30 p.m. ET live Q/A
  • Tuesday, Oct. 19 with Dr. Natalie Prystajecky – 12-1 p.m. ET presentation and 1-1:30 p.m. ET live Q/A
  • Thursday, Oct. 21 with Dr. Cheston Cunha – 12-1 p.m. ET presentation and 1-1:30 p.m. ET live Q/A
  • Friday, Oct. 29 with Dr. Peter Hotez – 11-11:30 a.m. ET presentation and 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. live Q/A


How do I register?

Visit the ASM CVS website and click the Register Now button. Registration closes 48 hours before the webinar begins. Registration includes the option to register for multiple webinars during one transaction.   


How much does the webinar series cost?

The CVS Online: SARS-CoV-2 Webinar Series is complimentary. There are no fees to attend, however, participants must complete the registration process to receive access to the online webinars. 


Do you have to be an ASM member to attend?

ASM members and non-members are welcome to attend. All participants will require an ASM account with login credentials to register. If you do not have an ASM account, you may create a complimentary ASM User account.


How do I access the webinars?

Registered participants will receive an email 48 hours prior to the start of the webinar with a link to access the online viewing platform. If you do not receive an email with login instructions or you have technical issues, contact clinicalvirology@asmusa.org.   


How long are the webinar sessions?

Each session will include a 60-min presentation from 12-1 p.m. ET, followed by a 30 min live Q&A from 1-1:30 p.m. ET.  Please note: The webinar session on Friday, Oct. 29 includes a 30 min presentation from 11-11:30 a.m. ET followed by a 30 min live Q&A from 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. ET.


I cannot attend the webinars – will a recording be available?

The recording of each webinar will be available on the Clinical Virology Symposium website the first week in Nov. 2021.


When does the next in-person Clinical Virology Symposium take place?

The Clinical Virology Symposium will take place on May 1-4, 2022, in West Palm Beach, Fla. 


How do I submit an abstract for the Clinical Virology Symposium?

Abstract submissions for the 2022 ASM Clinical Virology Symposium will open on Nov. 3, 2021. The abstract submission deadline is Feb. 1, 2022.
