Luria Broth (LB) and Luria Agar (LA) Media and Their Uses: Serratia marcescens​

The level of prodigiosin synthesis is somewhat variable as shown by the mix of white and red colonies. Incubation at 37 C completely inhibits pigment production and S. marcescens will be white.
