In Memoriam: Oblack, Donna L.
(1948-2022)
Donna L. Oblack, clinical microbiologist and long-time member of the American Society for Microbiology, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in Cincinnati, OH, at the age of 74.
After earning her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in microbiology, Dr. Oblack held positions in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, a large reference lab, a private sector hospital lab and multiple VA hospital labs, in locations including Dayton, Philadelphia and Cincinnati. After retirement from the Department of Veterans Affairs, she served as a Volunteer Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology of the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. Her interests included hiking, music and reading, especially mysteries.
