This video presentation provides information on the clinical relevance and significance of Corynebacterium species when recovered from clinical specimens. It also highlights different methods of identification, including widely used MALDI-TOF systems, and guidance on antimicrobial susceptibility test methods and result reporting. Common multidrug resistant (MDR) species from a large collection of Canadian Corynebacterium isolates are described.
