Program Details

The 2020 ASM NGS is offering two travel awards, ASM NGS Student Travel Award and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Lower Middle Income Countries Research Travel Award.

ASM NGS Student Travel Award
The student and early career travel awardees are selected by the ASM NGS Program Committee on the basis of the scientific quality of the submitted abstracts by students and early career scientists. Funding from this award is meant only to defray costs for the meeting. Abstract submitters may need to obtain additional funding from other sources.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Lower Middle Income Countries Research Travel Award
The BMGF LMIC Research Travel Award will be selected by the ASM NGS Program Committee based on the eligibility requirements and scientific merit (not fiscal need). The award winners will be invited to give a short talk on their work in one of the conference sessions.

 

Eligibility

 ASM NGS Student Travel Award
  • Student or early career scientists whose abstracts are submited and accepted for ASM NGS.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Lower Middle Income Countries Research Travel Award
  • Presenting author must live in and work at an institution in a lower middle income country.
  •  Abstracts must be submitted and accepted for ASM NGS.
