Need Help Preparing for the Clinical Microbiology Board Exam?

This course will provide a whirlwind overview for those preparing for clinical microbiology board examinations. Presenters will review clinical bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, virology and parasitology—highlighting recent developments in the field, including new practice guidance, taxonomy, AST issues and testing modalities. The course includes interactive audience polling to review key aspects of laboratory management.

Course Learning Objectives 

  • Discuss current CLIA requirements for laboratories.
  • Review best practices in clinical microbiology.
  • Explain clinical microbiology diagnostic techniques.

Continuing Education (CE) Credit

This live, online course is approved for 7.0 P.A.C.E.® credit. ASM is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Program and credit must be claimed by Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
