This position is responsible is responsible for posting content and assets to asm.org as well as implementing, assessing and synthesizing digital metrics and Google Analytics for the Marketing and Communications team. In addition, this position is also responsible content creation, CMS back-end organization, management, and upholding ASM’s digital strategy and content strategy as part of a larger team. This position supports the goals of the department and the mission of ASM.
 Primary Responsibilities:

Function 1: Content entry and management
  • Serve as jack-of all trades content specialist for team and staff, including:
    • Posting web content
    • Creating and posting graphics, video and other multimedia as needed
    • Keeping CMS content tree and media libraries organized
Function 2: Metrics and analytics
  • Advise team and staff on data set up, reporting and synthesis
  • Regularly pull reports
  • Serve as main overseer on Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager Data Studio, Crazy Egg and other data software
  • Advise on dashboard creation for team, oversight and creation of larger analytics dashboards for team
Function 3: Project management and strategy
  • Responsible for keeping track of ASM’s analytics for website and content, under the guidance of Web Editor and Sr. Manager, Digital Strategy
  • Responsible for upholding ASM’s digital and content strategy approaches with ASM staff and stakeholder
Required Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelors’ degree in journalism, math, data science or communications or related field
  2. Data science background preferred
  3. 1-2 years’ of work experience in analytics, metrics or data science.
