The Meetings Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the meetings department logistics and exhibits team with pre-planning for ASM’s city-wide annual meetings, in addition to supporting the logistics of smaller conferences and meetings. Incumbent would also provide onsite support at the annual meeting and other on-site support as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Communicating with service partners to coordinate meeting logistics.
  2. Coordinate with internal departments to confirm operational requirements for conferences and meetings.
  3. Manage ancillary vendors, initiate contracts, and coordinate with vendors for all meetings.
  4. Create function sheets and liaison with vendors to arrange all logistical specifications.
  5. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  6. Ten percent (10%) travel domestically.
  7. Other duties related to the logistics of conferences and meetings.
Required Education and Experience:
  1. Two (2) years of previous onsite event execution experience.
  2. A Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management may substitute for the required years of experience.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
