September 29, 2016 - Congress Passes Short-term Continuing Resolution and Funds Zika Response
The ASM Office of Public Affairs has summarized the details of the Continuing Resolution that includes funding to combat Zika.
Funding Alert: Contact Congress for Emergency Funding for Zika
The ASM has been working since February to urge congressional passage of a $1.9 billion emergency supplemental funding bill to respond to the Zika virus. The House and Senate passed Zika funding bills, but a conference agreement failed in the Senate over political controversy, stalling congressional passage of a final Zika funding bill before Congress left for the summer recess.
