Carolyn Shore, Ph.D.

National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine

Carolyn Shore, Ph.D., is the director of the Forum on Drug Discovery, Development and Translation for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.

Before joining the National Academies, Shore worked on a variety of science policy issues, including antibiotic stewardship and innovation, food safety, plant and animal health and agricultural trade policy. She also worked as an officer with the Pew Charitable Trusts' Antibiotic Resistance Program.

Shore holds a doctoral degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from Harvard University.
