David Haber is the Director of Publishing Operations at ASM, where he oversees the operational, technological and business functions supporting ASM's portfolio of 17 peer-reviewed journals. He leads initiatives in publishing technology, workflow modernization and research integrity operations, directing the evaluation and implementation of publishing platforms, metadata infrastructure and artificial intelligence initiatives that enhance the author, editor and reviewer experience. Under his leadership, ASM strengthened its scholarly metadata program and earned recognition in Crossref's Participation Reports for exceptional metadata coverage among large publishing members.

Haber brings more than 2 decades of experience in scholarly publishing to his work at ASM. He holds a B.A. in comparative literature, philosophy, classics and the history of mathematics and science from St. John's College.
