June L. Chan, Ph.D., is a second-year medical and public health microbiology fellow at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to UCLA, Chan was an Association of Public Health Laboratories Antimicrobial Resistance Fellow at the Wadsworth Center in New York, where she participated in detection and screening activities for carbapenemase-producing organisms (CPOs) in the Northeast region. Chan also studied CPO prevalence in high-risk, solid organ transplant populations. She received her Ph.D. in molecular microbiology and immunology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
