Kaylee Arnold, M.S., is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia, an organizing member of Black in Microbiology Week, and a member of the Black Microbiologists Association. Her dissertation research evaluates the links between insect disease vectors, their gut microbiota, and land use change. She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Redlands and her master’s degree at Tulane University. Ultimately, she is passionate about highlighting Black microbiologists and increasing access and equity in STEM K-12 education.
