Lucy Green, Ph.D. researches and teaches at the University of Southampton about early development effects on lifelong health. She advocates for physiological sciences with the International Society for the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, the Physiological Society, as a Fellow of Royal Society of Biology (2019, Senior Investigator Outreach and Engagement Award). Green was a 2018 British Science Association Media Fellow (at the British Broadcasting Corporation) and is an active public engager, including innovating engagement tools for science festivals and devising health-science experiences for young people which enable them to question experts panels and influence the discussion about big health issues. As Head of Engagement in her Faculty of Medicine Green works to support other researchers with engagement and to build relationships with diverse communities of public.
