Monika Oli, Ph.D., is an instructional professor at the University of Florida, dedicated to teaching innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology (parasitology) and a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, blending high-level research with strategic educational leadership. Her expertise is backed by a diverse career, including leadership in the biotechnology industry, where she co-invented multiple U.S. patents for traumatic brain injury diagnostics.

A leader in STEM education, she developed a curriculum and managed one of the nation's largest microbiology teaching labs. Oli is the only faculty member to earn the highest honors in both teaching and advising from the University of Florida, having been named the University of Florida Teacher of the Year and the UF Faculty Adviser/Mentor of the Year. Her commitment to excellence, innovation and globalization is further reflected in accolades such as the APLU Excellence in Teaching Award, the NACTA Excellence in Teaching and Learning with Technology Award and the UF International Educator Award. As a Certified Personal Resilience Practitioner, she integrates workforce durability and mental health seminars into her mentorship of students and early-career scientists.
