Paul D. Fey, Ph.D., is a professor and the Vice Chairperson for Research in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His research is focuses on understanding staphylococcal metabolism and its link to virulence and biology. He is the former director of the Nebraska Medicine clinical microbiology laboratory where he directed the UNMC Clinical Microbiology (CPEP) fellowship. He has trained 14 Ph.D. students and was elected to the American Academy of Microbiology in 2022.
