Phyu M. Thwe, Ph.D., D(ABMM), MLS(ASCP)CM, is the Chief of the Microbiology Laboratory in the Division of Laboratory Sciences and Infectious Disease at the Vermont Department of Health. Thwe loves teaching young microbiologists, pathology and infectious disease residents. She regularly writes case studies with trainees and young microbiologists for ASCP's "Lablogatory" blog to provide continuing education. Thwe’s also passionate in raising awareness about the field and loves hanging out with her birdies and kitties, kayaking, hiking, biking and volunteering at bird shelters.
