Saad Alasil, Ph.D., M.S., MPH, is the senior microbiologist at Steuben Foods Inc., a global leader in aseptic food and beverage manufacturing. He provides scientific leadership in microbial risk assessment, product safety and quality and environmental monitoring programs. With more than 15 years of experience spanning academia, healthcare and industry, Alasil brings a distinctive combination of microbiological expertise, strategic execution and cross-sector collaboration. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical bacteriology from the University of Malaya, his M.S. in clinical microbiology and immunology from Jordan University of Science and Technology and his MPH in community health and health behavior from the University at Buffalo. Alasil also serves as a mentor in the ASM Future Leaders Mentorship Fellowship program, helping develop the next generation of microbial science professionals.
