Sara F. Geffert, M.D., M.S., D(ABMM), M(ASCP) is the Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology at a large academic medical center in R.I. In addition, she sees inpatient infectious disease consults multiple weeks a year. She loves the duality of being both "behind the scenes" in the lab and also at the bedside of the patients. In her free time, she enjoys chasing after her daughter and watching the women's U.S. national soccer team play.
