Graeme Forrest
Forrest’s research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship and resistance in immunocompromised hosts. He completed residencies at Columbus Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago after earning a Bachelor Medicine, Bachelor Surgery (MBBS) from University of Adelaide, Australia. He completed his infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he stayed on as faculty for 7 more years. In 2008, Forrest moved to the Veterans Affairs (VA) Portland Health Care System and Oregon Health and Science University, where he served as director of the outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) program and provided VA outpatient services. He was chair of VA Portland Healthcare System’s Internal Review Board and an advisor for the Clinical Laboratory and Standards Institute (CLSI) breakpoint working group.

"As a previous author, I felt privileged to be invited to contribute and I realize how much effort is required to present a thorough, well thought out and informative article. These detailed reviews with their excellent artwork for each article make CMR an outstanding journal,” said Forrest.
